البرامج والخدمات التي يقدمها مركز الكويت للتوحد Programs and Services Offered by Kuwait Center for Autism

وهو أول برنامج بدأه المركز، حيث يقدم هذا البرنامج في الفترة الصباحية للطلبة الذين يعانون من إعاقة التوحد أو ضعف التواصل أسوةً بأقرانهم في المدارس الأخرى مع السعي لدمجهم معهم في المستقبل. This was the first program started by the center. It is offered in the morning for students with autism or communication difficulties, alongside their peers in other schools, with the goal of integrating them in the future.

برنامج تم افتتاحه عام 2000م يهدف إلى تدريب الشباب المصابين بالتوحد والاضطراب النمائي الشامل على الاعتماد على النفس والاستقلالية، بالإضافة إلى التواصل والتفاعل الاجتماعي من خلال أنشطة وبرامج متنوعة وضعت خصيصاً لتحقيق أهداف البرنامج. A program launched in 2000 to train young people with autism and pervasive developmental disorder to be self‑reliant and independent. It also focuses on social communication and interaction through a variety of activities and programs designed specifically to achieve its objectives.

يقدم مركز الكويت للتوحد برنامج سباحة في فترة الإجازة الصيفية للأطفال التوحد والمصابين بمتلازمة الداون ومع أشقائهم وأصدقائهم حيث تخصص أيام للأولاد وأيام للبنات ويشرف على البرنامج مدربين ومدربات متخصصين. يتم تعليم الطفل السباحة من خلال هذا البرنامج الذي يساهم في تخلص الطفل من الطاقة الحركية الزائدة وتعليمه العديد من المهارات الحركية المفيدة، وهذا البرنامج الترفيهي خطوة ضمن الخطوات التي تهدف إلى الدمج مع الآخرين والمجتمع الخارجي مثل المشاركة في البطولات المحلية والدولية. The Kuwait Center for Autism offers a swimming program during the summer vacation period for children with autism and Down syndrome, along with their siblings and friends. Days are allocated separately for boys and girls, and the program is supervised by specialized male and female trainers. The program teaches swimming to children, helping them channel their excess energy and develop many useful motor skills. This recreational program is a step towards integration with others and the wider community, such as participating in local and international competitions.

قام المركز بالعديد من المخيمات الصيفية أثناء عطلة الصيف كانت بدايتها عام 1997 وذلك بهدف: The center has organized many summer camps during the summer vacation since 1997 with the aim of:

• توفير الفرصة للأطفال للحصول على مزيد من التسلية والترفيه والتدريب في بيئة منظمة وهو الأمر الذي سيعود عليهم بالفائدة ويشعرهم بالسعادة في نفس الوقت نفسه. Providing children with more opportunities for amusement, entertainment and training in an organized environment, which will benefit them and bring them happiness at the same time.
• أن تكون هذه الأندية متاحة لكل الأطفال وتهدف بشكل خاص لتشجيع أفراد الأسرة على المشاركة في مختلف الأنشطة مع أطفالهم الذين يعانون من التوحد آملين أن يزيد ذلك من وعيهم بما يعانيه هؤلاء الأطفال. Making these clubs available to all children and specifically encouraging family members to participate in various activities with their children who have autism, hoping that this will increase their awareness of what these children experience.
• فرصة لدمج أطفال التوحد مع فئة الذين يعانون من متلازمة داون منذ عام 2000 بهدف اكتساب العديد من المهارات الاجتماعية التي يتحلى بها فئة الداون من خلال دمجهم ومساعدتهم على تقوية جوانب الضعف لدى طفل التوحد. Providing an opportunity for children with autism to integrate with children with Down syndrome since 2000, to acquire many social skills that children with Down syndrome possess.

برنامج الخطوة الأولى (المسائي) هو برنامج للتدخل المبكر بدأه المركز منذ عام 1997 ليكون برنامجاً مساعداً وتمهيدياً للبرنامج التعليمي الأساسي. يركز البرنامج على مهارات أساسية ومحددة تعين الطلبة على الالتحاق والاندماج مع نظام التعليم في البرنامج التعليمي الأساسي، ويساعد الأسر على تدريب أبنائهم على أهم الصعوبات مثل التدريب على الحمام، العلاج السلوكي، التواصل، واتباع نظام العمل. The First Step (Evening) program is an early intervention program introduced by the center in 1997 as a supportive and preparatory program for the main educational program. It focuses on core skills that help students join and integrate with the educational system, and helps families train their children on key challenges such as toilet training, behavioral therapy, communication and following a structured work routine.

يدعو مركز الكويت للتوحد المختصين في مجال التوحد من مختلف دول العالم لتقديم المستجدات في مجال التوحد، للعاملين في تعليم المصابين بالتوحد والأطباء والمختصين وأولياء الأمور وذلك من خلال: The Kuwait Center for Autism invites specialists in the field of autism from various countries around the world to present the latest developments in the field of autism to educators of people with autism, doctors, specialists, and parents through:

• محاضرات منفردة أو دورات متكاملة للمعلمين والمختصين مما يعطيهم الفرصة للقاء هذه الخبرات العالمية وتطوير أدائهم في برامجهم التربوية والتدريبية. Individual lectures or comprehensive courses for teachers and specialists, giving them the opportunity to meet these international experts and develop their performance in their educational and training programs.
• عقد ورش عمل للآباء والمختصين وكافة المهتمين بالتوحد. Holding workshops for parents, specialists and all those interested in autism.
• توفير استشارات فردية للأسر الذين يرغبون في لقاء المختصين. Providing individual consultations for families who wish to meet specialists.
• تتوفر ساعات استشارة أسرية طوال العام من قبل المختصين بالمركز. Family consultation hours are available throughout the year from the center's specialists.

يؤمن القائمون على المركز بأن له أحد الأدوار الهامة في المجتمع وتتمثل في زيادة الوعي العام بالتوحد، ومن أجل ذلك فإن المركز يعقد الكثير من المؤتمرات وورش العمل للأسر والمدرسين والعاملين بالمجال وكل من لهم علاقة واهتمام بالتوحد طوال العام سواءً داخل أو خارج الكويت. The center's administrators believe that one of its important roles in society is to increase public awareness of autism. Accordingly, the center holds many conferences and workshops for families, teachers, workers in the field and anyone who has a relationship or interest in autism throughout the year, both inside and outside Kuwait.

• عقد مركز الكويت للتوحد المؤتمر الدولي الأول للتوحد في الكويت والشرق الأوسط عام 2000م تحت رعاية معالي الشيخ صباح الأحمد الجابر الصباح. The Kuwait Center for Autism held the first international conference on autism in Kuwait and the Middle East in 2000 under the patronage of the late Sheikh Sabah Al‑Ahmad Al‑Jaber Al‑Sabah.
• أقيم المؤتمر الثاني للتوحد في ديسمبر 2003م. The second autism conference was held in December 2003.
• نظراً لشهرة المركز العالمية في هذا المجال فقد وافقت منظمة التوحد العالمية (WAO) على عقد المؤتمر العالمي للتوحد في الكويت عام 2014. Due to the center's international reputation in this field, the World Autism Organization (WAO) agreed to hold the World Autism Conference in Kuwait in 2014.

تم استحداث برنامج تشغيل المعاقين في المركز عام 2000م، وذلك بهدف استثمار الطاقات والقدرات لدى الفئات الخاصة بإيجاد مهنة تناسب لهم حياة كريمة. ومن أمثلة هذه الوظائف المتاحة: The center's employment program for persons with disabilities was introduced in 2000 to invest the energies and abilities of special categories by finding suitable jobs that guarantee them a dignified life. Examples of these available jobs include:

• أعمال السكرتارية (الطباعة والتصوير والتغليف، فرز المراسلات وأعمال الكمبيوتر). Secretarial work (printing, photocopying, binding, sorting mail and computer tasks).
• الإشراف على المكتبة وتصنيف القصص وقراءتها للطلبة. Supervising the library and classifying and reading stories to students.
• العمل في ورش مهنية مختلفة مثل ورش الأعمال اليدوية (خزف / خشب / ورق). Working in various vocational workshops such as handicrafts workshops (ceramics, wood, paper, etc.).
• مساعدة المعلمين في الفصول. Helping teachers in classrooms.

سعى مركز الكويت للتوحد منذ تأسيسه إلى نشر الوعي بإعاقة التوحد والمساهمة بتوفير الكتب المتخصصة في مجال التوحد باللغة العربية سواء بالتأليف أو بالترجمة. Since its establishment, the Kuwait Center for Autism has strived to raise awareness of the disability of autism and contribute to providing specialized books on autism in the Arabic language, whether by writing or translation.

• في عام 1993 صدر أول كتاب متخصص في إعاقة التوحد باللغة العربية «معاناتي والتوحد». In 1993, the first book specializing in autism in the Arabic language was published, titled "My Suffering and Autism".
• صدر حتى الآن أكثر من 110 إصدار ضمن سلسلة توعية طوعية لهذا المجال. To date, more than 110 publications have been issued as part of a voluntary awareness series.
• أصبحت إصدارات مركز الكويت للتوحد مرجعاً علمياً للباحثين والمتخصصين في مختلف أنحاء الوطن العربي. The publications of the Kuwait Center for Autism have become a scientific reference for researchers and specialists throughout the Arab world.

صدر العدد الأول من المجلة العلمية المتخصصة «صرخة صامتة» في سبتمبر 1997 كأول مجلة علمية متخصصة في إعاقة التوحد في الوطن العربي، وهي تعتبر لسان حال المصابين بالتوحد وصعوبات أخرى. The first issue of the specialized scientific magazine "Silent Cry" was published in September 1997 as the first scientific journal specializing in the field of autism in the Arab world.

• يشترك في المجلة ما يقرب من 700 عضواً من مختلف أرجاء الوطن العربي. About 700 members subscribe to the magazine from various parts of the Arab world.
• تضاف رسوم المشاركة الرمزية بالمجلة إلى وقفية أطفال التوحد. The nominal participation fees for the magazine are added to the endowment fund for children with autism.
• تضم المجلة هيئة استشارية هي نخبة من المختصين والعلماء من مختلف أنحاء العالم. The magazine's advisory board is an elite group of specialists and scientists from various parts of the world.
